Our Mission

Supporting the youth and being a positive influence are the essential building blocks that ensure our children will contribute positively to society, take responsibility for their own actions, and become dedicated members of our communities.  Engaging youth in activities such as welding, woodworking, quilting, sewing, and baking, are essential in ensuring they have skills that will help them as they go through life; each of these skills will also provide the youth knowledge in math, teach them about finances and how to budget, as well as communication skills and all of these are important factors in creating tomorrow’s leaders.

At Beyond the Barn we have one mission: to provide the Youth of Travis County with Financial aid and aid in the development of the character of our youth - our future leaders - through competitive livestock and youth fair projects, Career and Leadership development events which teach them critical life skills including personal responsibility, financial and time management, fair play, good sportsmanship, hard work and integrity. Students learn through annual projects. Our goal is to instill in our youth strong character and a commitment toward community service and leadership.

By working together we will ensure the youth of Travis County will continue to have an opportunity to continue to build skills, character, and be a positive contributor to the community.
